Circa 1895 Restored Set Hoffmann and Billings Single Basin Taps

Description This set of single basin taps were made by Hoffmann and Billings sometime in the late 1890’s we believe. They’ve been restored in the original Polished nickel finish and are ready to install. As with many early plumbing fixtures, these faucets have a few peculiarities. First off, the spouts are fairly short at 3 1/2″ from centerline of valve to tip of spout. Back in the early days, spouts were kept close to the edge of the sink as that’s where you washed your hair, and you didn’t want to bump your head on the faucet spout. Also, the inlet thread is undersize and an odd thread pitch, so we have included special inlet nuts to accommodate this. You will have to use the 07-20 semi-rigid supply tubes with these faucets, the normal flexible supplies will not work. One pair only!
