Description This toilet bowl is a bit of a mystery. It’s got the initials “J.S.A.” embossed into the bottom of the bowl and a date of 1945, but that’s really it. We have not run into a Sanitaryware manufacturer with those initials before. The bowl itself does show signs of being a lower-end product, the bowl has ripples and slumps we would normally find in earlier products, not something this late. It may have been made for the war effort, manufacturers were more concerned about quantity over quality back then. As for condition, there is a small chip at the front left bolt hole, see a photo of it in the gallery. Also, the color is a bit darker white then every other bowl/tank we have, so we do not have a matching tank in the same shade of white. All are brighter. This bowl will need to set on a 14″ rough-in, a 4″ waste line, and takes a 2″ closet spud. We will provide the correct wax ring, raw brass closet spud, bolts and porcelain caps with the bowl.
